I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Thought is suspect.

A sound that rushes over me.

Live the unexamined life.

It's just a dying romance.
"BREAD is the most important article of food, and history tells of its use thousands of years before the Christian era . . . The study of bread making is of no slight importance, and deserves more attention than it receives.
Considering its great value, it seems unnecessary and wrong to find poor bread on the table; and would that our standard might be raised as high as that of our friends across the water ! Who does not appreciate the loaf produced by the French baker, who has worked months to learn the art of bread making?"

You don't learn anything from the bang bang.

Who is this terrorist?
What a storm.
If the duality of both positive and negative defines our comprehension of damn near everything, and I think it does, how do we then define life?
Does it become am existential matter? Is life truly "what we make of it"?

Every plan is a tiny prayer to Father Time.
For years now the headline every night has been about the "war against terror", these past few months the headlines have been hurricane/earth quake/big bad mother earth juju related, with the odd blip here and there about the Supreme Court nominations (mostly you hear about that kind of stuff on the specialized "in depth" commentary shows).
So in a world with all this going on, what asshat decided this was front page news?
Misanthropy is understandable, don't ya think?
It's enough to make me nervous.
Do you think those childish impulses ever go away? And if not, do you think that it's possible to develop better impulse control (without the aid of medication)? Because damn, my impulses have been getting me into serious trouble lately.
It seems fitting that the house is in escrow. My living space is in limbo just like my life. We match!

You've gotta be 2,000 places at once.
Of course I also want to wander around "Byzantium" and pretend that I'm the emperor. Heh.
I don't have an obsession with power. Honest!

We just want to keep on breathing.
When You Are Old
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

It's who I am, it's what I do.
Is that the measure of a life?

Soon you'll find your own way.
Randomly, the kidneys make up approximately 0.05 percent of total body weight. Pretty impressive that something so small is so darn important, isn't it?
